Students in IMES degree programmes go on to careers in a wide range of areas. Recent students have found employment in the news media, NGOs, the United Nations, the UK and EU governments, business, law, and other areas.
Recent PhDs have gone on to positions in a variety of top-tier universities in Europe and the US.
The Department's own Careers Support Officer is Dr Andrew Newman. He is ready to discuss any aspect of careers planning, especially including postgraduate study in the UK as well as the US, and also work/study opportunities in the Middle East. He can also guide you to other members of the Department with interests and expertise in other post-graduate career possibilities.
